BioSpa Photofacials (IPL) IPL photofacial treatments will make your skin look younger and smoother. Through a series of photofacials the skin complexion of your face, neck, chest, or hands will appear rejuvenated. The IPL facials treats:
IPL or intense pulsed light uses a broad-spectrum light source to create a ripple effect of pulsing lights allowing the treatment to reach deeper skin layers. The treatments take approximately 30 minutes and there is no downtime or extended post-treatment recovery. Immediately following treatment the skin will be moderately red and display slight swelling, indicating the IPL has stimulated the skin’s layers; this will subside within a few hours of treatment. The number of treatments will vary between individuals and his/her skin condition and treatment should take place three to four weeks apart. The pulsing light targets superficial layers and pigmentation, in addition to penetrating to lower levels of skin. As the IPL accesses lower layers of skin, new collagen and connective tissue growth is stimulated, thus, producing a younger and smoother exterior. Candidates for IPL photofacials have light to medium skin and display the best results. A series of treatments will display progressive results- a diminishing of fine wrinkles and lines, a fading of age spots and freckles, and an overall smoother look and feel. Diolite Laser The diolite laser is a gentle, controlled treatment of a specific area on the skin. It is extremely helpful in diminishing the redness of surgery scars. Additionally, results create a rejuvenating effect by diminishing the appearance of unwanted spots, lesions, or spider veins. Essentially, the laser generates a decomposition of unwanted cells by heating them with the beam of light, while simultaneously leaving healthy cells undamaged. The diolite laser treats:
Diolite treatments are quick and relatively painless; a topical anesthesia may be administered as some patients experience a minor stinging sensation during treatment. Following treatment, the area will appear red but this will subside within a few hours. Any swelling that may occur will settle within 24-48 hours. The patient should apply an antibacterial ointment, as directed by the doctor and will remain out of the sun while the area heals. Vascular lesions will heal within 10-14 days of treatment and pigmented lesions will heal within 2-3 weeks. Depending on the size of the area, more than one treatment may be required, and a combination of the IPL and diolite laser may be suggested to create the best results. The diolite treatment can generate dramatic results by improving the appearance of open vessels on the face and diminishing the appearance of spots. |
