Face lift surgery is designed to remove the major folds or wrinkles of the skin on the face and neck; signs of aging that naturally develop over time. During face lift surgery, the first step is to create an incision that runs in front of and behind the ears (sometimes partially hidden with the ear), and into the hairline. Patients are then left with a natural look that may have people wondering just how old they truly are, as the incision scars will be strategically hidden in the natural creases of the ear and/or within the hair.

Full rhytidectomy is commonly combined with other procedures for optimal results.
